We trade with buyers in the Gulf. Should we have a UAE company?
It depends on where you sell, who your customers are and how much activity happens in the UAE. A conversation about your trading model, ownership and banking needs is the right starting point before choosing a structure.
Can contracts with Brazilian counterparties choose UAE courts or arbitration?
They can, and the choice matters. Governing law, the forum for disputes and where a judgment or award may need to be enforced should be considered together when the contract is drafted.
Can I start the conversation from Brazil?
Yes. Use the enquiry form to introduce yourself, the people or businesses involved and what you want to achieve, wherever you are in Brazil or the UAE. Keep it brief and avoid confidential documents until an engagement is agreed. An enquiry does not create a lawyer-client relationship.
Do you advise on the law of Brazil?
