Legal counsel in Dubai
for clients from Ireland.

Irish teachers, healthcare professionals, engineers and business leaders are well represented in the UAE, and Irish companies in aviation, finance and technology regularly look to Dubai for growth. Many arrive familiar with common-law contracts; we help explain what works differently here.

Frequently asked questions

Before we begin.

I’ve been offered a role in Dubai. What should I check before accepting?

Review salary and allowances, housing and benefits, notice periods, any restrictions after you leave and how the contract can be ended. A short review before you sign can save difficult conversations later.

Will a contract governed by Irish law be enforceable in Dubai?

It depends on the parties, the forum chosen and where you would need to enforce it. Ask which law and forum suit your arrangement rather than assuming home-country terms will work as expected.

Can I start the conversation from Ireland?

Yes. Use the enquiry form to introduce yourself, the people or businesses involved and what you want to achieve, wherever you are in Ireland or the UAE. Keep it brief and avoid confidential documents until an engagement is agreed. An enquiry does not create a lawyer-client relationship.

Do you advise on the law of Ireland?

Our practice is based in Dubai. Where your matter also involves the law of Ireland, we will say so early and discuss coordinating with appropriately qualified advisers there.
