Frequently asked questions

Before we begin.

We want to open a Thai restaurant or spa in Dubai with a local partner. What should we agree?

Agree each partner’s investment and role, decision-making, profit sharing, use of the brand and recipes, and what happens if someone wants to leave. Do this before the lease is signed.

I’m a Thai spa therapist offered a job in Dubai. What should I check?

Check the role, working hours, salary and allowances, accommodation, notice and what happens at the end of the contract. Ask your employer to clarify anything unclear before you sign.

Can I start the conversation from Thailand?

Yes. Use the enquiry form to introduce yourself, the people or businesses involved and what you want to achieve, wherever you are in Thailand or the UAE. Keep it brief and avoid confidential documents until an engagement is agreed. An enquiry does not create a lawyer-client relationship.

Do you advise on the law of Thailand?

Our practice is based in Dubai. Where your matter also involves the law of Thailand, we will say so early and discuss coordinating with appropriately qualified advisers there.
